Strategy

Developing a strategic mindset can often be challenging within strata as you fend off seemingly endless rounds of daily issues and difficult situations.

We help by enabling you to stop and take a step back, as much to listen to others as to yourself. Working hand-in-hand with you we:

  • outline the fundamental requirements (both legal and other)
  • undertake a gap analysis to determine missing doctrine and identify areas for improvement
  • assess this against established criteria to find your easy wins and potential pain points
  • consider efficiencies, savings, and actionable outcomes, and
  • create real solutions for a suitable way forward.

Training

Coaching and mentoring of committee members is provided in a hands-on and very practical context. We establish formal processes for learning through ‘on-the-job’ (volunteer) training and personal growth development for keen committee members.

Our How To guides give you best practice guidance on the A-Z of strata.

Resources

With our eBook and Fact Sheet library we give you a heads-up in finding relevant resources to your current matter. Inside the Strata Forum membership you’ll find loads of useful advice from other owners, residents, and committee members.

Our library is building weekly and our members are key contributors.

We can also connect you with other strata specialist practitioners by way of referral as we know that it’s the connections that are so important in your particular situation. We recognise that it’s not possible to be everything to all people on every occasion.

Advocacy

As trusted advisors we are strong proponents of advocating for the rights of owners and residents. Whether you need assistance at a local level, at a more formal mediation, or even through the Court system or Tribunal Hearing, we can advocate on your behalf.

As a former Director and Company Secretary for the peak consumer body, one of our principals has represented owners at local and state government levels, made submissions for legislative reform, and been key in developing an improved and more sustainable strata environment for all. At the same time, our Director developed the NSW Strategic Plan, Code of Conduct and Ethics, Board Performance Evaluation, policy framework, and a committees and working group framework to enhance the governance structures in support of all owners and residents.

Techniques

We can help enhance community and build resilience and harmony at home. With the nuances of strata, many people from different walks of life, living together in one complex can be a dream or a nightmare.

We help individuals or groups to look at techniques that assist with creating an environment that is enjoyable and empowered. And a community that is cohesive and respectful. While everyone won’t agree all the time, it’s the respect for one another that helps us get through the sticky situations and emerge the stronger and more resilient for it.

Assessments

With our in-house numerical profile tool CLAMP-IT™ we can assess, analyse, and evaluate the performance of your Committee, Office Bearers, service providers and trades, and your strata agent if needed.

An evaluation report can be the key tool in helping a committee understand its role and lift its game. Alternatively, it can be a useful resource for negotiating improved standards of service with your contractors or strata managing agent.

In any case, the Evaluation Report gives you a benchmark to use for improving on all aspects of your strata scheme along with alternative options for self assessment, knowledge, and some well-grounded guidance on having the tricky conversations and selling yourself at the AGM or Strata Committee meeting.
