Lol but really i've only heard amazing things from this palm and i absolutely love the looks from it Not to mention i read that it can handle down to 25f I'm curious on how different they are i understand that f1 is the original cross between veitchia and foxtail and f2 is foxy lady crossed back with either of the original parent's I have an f2 and am wondering how the look of the palm compares to f1
Also how f2 compares to f1 on their cold hard. Alas, the time has come I've been growing this foxy lady a few years now and i think it's time to rehome her It's in a 15 gal but it ideally should go in the ground soon, it's filled in that pot already

The one i'm growing in leucadia is from the same source and purchased about the same time, a. John you are correct, the two foxy ladies in the photo at flecker gardens, one variegated and smaller, are from the very first batch of foxy lady palms cultivated and i understand mikey himself played a significant part in making the first seed observations of this hybrid palm which has entranced the palm community ever since. They say the foxy lady is a rocket but the growth rate appears to be the same as seedlings Erik, the foxtails were planted many months before the f1 foxyladies
I have numerous large ones in the garden & i would say the foxladies grow more rapidly
The only exception, would be the ones that are extremely variegated. After many years and trees that are ungodly tall, my foxy lady, 1 of 2 dropped 2 very ripe very real looking seeds
